Hi, I’m Lina Nguyen. I’m Team Pactum’s Principal Mediator and Principal Solicitor.

There’s already a whole page on the website for “About Lina Nguyen” so it feels a bit narcissistic to talk about myself again here! I’ll keep it short.

If you need a workplace investigation done by us, my job is to make sure the report you receive is legally correct. That’s because legal compliance is critical when making major decisions that can affect someone’s job and livelihood. It’s valuable having a lawyer on Team Pactum who can give this added layer of quality assurance to our clients.

I do workplace and family mediations as well. Even though I’m a lawyer, I can actually let go of the need to control! It helps to get out of the way as a mediator when people are negotiating through workplace and family disputes. I bring the process and the structure. Clients bring the content and make the decisions.

My daughter was with me almost every step of the way when I was building Pactum Dispute Resolution. She did vomit on me several times during business meetings. I still love her to bits.

When I was trained to become a federal agency human source handler, I was told: “Humans come first and then the rest will come”.  This is my approach to investigations generally. In addition to the technical aspects of evidence and intelligence collection, the value I bring to investigations is in the human factor which is always most important to me.

As the Director, Investigations at Pactum Dispute Resolution I bring over 20 years of State and Federal Government experience in criminal investigations and preparing briefs for making civil applications. I am exceptionally skilled in intelligence gathering, information analysis and providing high level advice on complex investigation plans and strategies in high-risk operations.

For employers handling a sensitive workplace complaint, I’ll gather all the evidence you need with discretion, efficiency and confidentiality. I’ll give you the facts in a comprehensive report so that you can make the decisions moving forward. The report will be impartial, legally compliant, factual and evidence-based. Importantly, you can rest assured that the arms-length investigation is conducted without bias so that you can confidently demonstrate no conflict of interest or perception of conflict of interest.
